The Kaleidoscopes Are Finished . . .

My egg shaped kaleidoscopes are finally finished.  Pretty simple to make once you have all the tooling.  Gotta measure accurately too.

 

This one is made of cocobolo wood.   It is a tropical hardwood from Central America.  It usually has a fairly strong grain pattern.

This one is made from Bloodwood which is grown in South America.  

I found out that I shouldn't put the kaleidoscope mechanism  together in my dusty garage.  All those specks of dust are magnified by the mirrors.
