I was leisurely mindin my own business while mowin the rough around 17 when I noticed this train. It was a train of brand new combines and one tank car on the end. It was all green (John Deere) when I first noticed and by the time I got my camera out of my pocket, they were red. I've seen trains of combines before, but I don't see the harvesting heads. Maybe they send them on another train.
The week started with unreasonable winds. Glad the temps were in the high 50's-low 60's. The wind chill may have finished me off. The last couple days of the week were well into the 70's with reasonable or little wind. I'm not a fan of a lot of wind.

Haven't had any rain to speak of this month. With the wind dryin out the ground, we had to fire up the irrigation system. Fixed the usual couple of leaks and started usin it. The greens were gettin hard, brown and supersonically fast. Last week the boss filled his sprayer with water and 'dumped' the water on the greens. Said this is one of the earliest dates he has had to start irrigating.
Talkin about early starts, as of yesterday, I have 3 pay periods under my belt. Next week is the usual week I start mowin.
I carried my handheld, trail gps with me all week. It said I drove my mower just over 93 miles. Didn't mow the whole rough due to frost delays and another breakdown. I probably drive real close to a 100 miles when I mow the whole rough. Toros seem to be 'belt eaters.' This breakdown took a couple hours to fix.

I spotted this tee while movin benches and ball washers so I could mow. Never heard of this golf company or seen this style of tee. But then, I don't play golf, I just mow.
I sold a Charles Wysocki jigsaw puzzle this week to someone in Australia for $5.00. They paid $17.88 to have it shipped to them. What people will pay sometimes amazes me. They must collect his puzzles. They are in the thrift stores around here.
