Lake Diane Garage Sales . . .

sign
Today was the Lake Diane Community Garage Sale.  Lake Diane is just a few miles into Michigan.

On the way, I noticed a small turtle crossin the road.  I missed him as well as the car behind me.  I wonder if he made it . . . I saw a field of oat just across the border.  Been a long, long time since I've seen oats.

Not a whole lot of sales goin on and not a lot of people.  There were enough of those dreaded, little blue haired ladies that get in everyone's way.  One asked me a question.  She and three of her blue haired friends were sittin in a big silver Buick.  I was gettin out of my MINI Cooper when she asked if my little car was a 'box car.'  Well, MINI Coopers are on the 'boxy side," but I decided to be truthful and told her it was a MINI Cooper.

fireplace
There were some things for sale that one does not see at a garage sale very often . . . like this fireplace.

bear
Then there was Ralph.  Only $450 . . . He was one the small side . . . Definitely not full grown.

Someone had their 1951 restored Mercedes Benz for sale.  I didn't ask about the price.

I didn't see much that interested me.  I bought a couple pieces of Corning Ware.  A carafe and a quart and a half casserole.  Only saw one decent baseball glove,  a left handed Louisville Slugger mitt.

wagon

amish
There were a few Amish people 'garage "salin" too.  Sometimes they come by wagon or buggy and sometimes they hire someone to drive them around.

bike barn
Took the scenic route back to Ohio.  Spotted this barn near Frontier MI . . . I don't know either . . .
