Another Edgerton Weather Related Tragedy . . .

Another weather related tragedy hit Edgerton last night.  Edgerton is a small town just inside Ohio in western Williams County.  Lightning apparently struck the Methodist Church on Rt. 49 during a storm last night.  I don't know many of the details.  I saw a photo on the front page of the local paper as I was gettin my morning coffee fix.  The caption said they had few details at press time

I decided to take a short road trip to see for myself.  Here are some of the photos I shot as I walked around the building behind the yellow tape.

I got there around 9 AM.  Bryan's ladder truck was about to leave the scene.  One of Edgerton's pumpers was still hooked up to a hydrant.

Several years ago, a microburst destroyed Edgerton's old town hall.  A couple years later, a wind gust blew over a masonry wall at a school building, killing a worker . . . and now this.   Old  buildings are irreplaceable.
