Week End Auction

This week's auction was in Ayersville, the little town I grew up in. A lot of Browns's have grown up there also. Since my dad died a yr and a half ago, we think it is the first time there hasn't been a 'Browns' living in Highland Twp. since the 1840's or 50's. Not a record, but still a long time. Once in a while I see someone I knew growing up. A guy I know re-introduced my to another guy I knew way back when. His wife was in my graduatiing class, so I asked him if she was here. He pointed her and I went over to introduce myself to her. She said I looked vaguely familiar and thought she should know me. I had noticed her looking at me, but I get that a lot there. Probably hadn't seen each other since graduation day back in '67'. She introduced me to an elementary teacher who was there when I was. She taught second grade. I was in Jr. High at the time. She knew my brothers and parents & said she remembers me. (It is a very small school & community).

It was a pretty decent auction. Sometimes I get everything I want, but not this week. I think I did get some good stuff.

All this for $16. The only thing that's not in the picture is the lava lamp. Thought I remembered reading that lava lamps were good sellers on eBay. A little research when I got home says maybe not. Oh, well.
