'Cold' of the Decade!

Don't pay the ransom, I've not been kidnapped. Somehow I contracted the worst cold I've had this decade. It has laid me very low this week. It hit me sudden last Sunday PM. I was on the way to a book store to see if they had a particular reference book on cast iron cookware. About 15 minutes into the trip I turned around and came home and actually went to bed for the PM. I felt fine till that point. Can't remember a cold getting to me that quick. It has been a system cleansing, 3 box (I rate head colds by the number of tissue boxes I go through) cold. Had it all -- congestion in the left lung, coughing and eye watering, nose burning congestion. It is Thursday and I'm down to mainly a cough. If this is too much information, what were you expecting? It has been the worst cold of the decade and I gotta brag about something once in a while.

With all the rain again this week, today is the first day of the week, I've worked at the golf course. Can't believe how much water is laying around. I seriously doubt that preparations for planting of crops have begun anywhere in the county. Weather people are predicting 3 more days of warm, rainless weather.

They put me on a small mower and told me to search for grass to mow. I found plenty. I will be somewhat surprised if they put me on the big mower tomorrow. It is that wet. They allowed carts on the front 9 and no carts on the back 9.

I am whipped!! Combination of the cold and bouncing around on that small mower equals an early bedtime tonight.

PS. Just checked the weather for tomorrow and now they say there is a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms tonight and in the morning. Been getting an inch or more per week all month.
