Misc Ramblins

The last few days have been in the 70's & 80's and yesterday was very windy. I measured a couple 30 mph gusts. Things are drying out quickly and the formerly gray and brown landscape is turning springtime green. It has been a great spring for the daffodils! I keep mentioning daffodils because I have been planting bulbs since I moved here here and I think they are spectacular! The last two springs were near total washouts for spring flowers.

A couple posts ago I wrote about twittering the latest happenings instead of blogging them. No one has expressed an opinion one way or another, so I will blog about them. I know people look at my ramblins cause the counter keeps recording hits -- it doesn't record hits from my computer, so I can't pad the stats. Here is what I could have tweeted to you.

I attended one of the local Tea Parties a couple weeks ago. When I got home, I discovered that I had become a 'right wing extremist' by Homeland Security and should be watched. Who ever gets to watch me is going to be awful bored. I don't do anything that even I consider exciting.

A couple days later, the mower I was using developed a flat tire -- the sidewall rotted through, no saving it. I was mowing around #14 green, the area farthest from the shop. While I was waiting on the Country Club's version of triple A, a red single engine plane began circling me like a vulture. I don't know if it was Homeland Security checking up on me or not. I always thought they used black planes, helicopters, SUV's etc. If my blog disapears from the internet shortly, maybe it was Homeland Security.

Back on the 15th of April, I took a couple packages to the Post Office. People were lined up almost out the door. I couldn't believe how many people were in line just to buy a stamp or two, probably for their tax returns. One person bought two stamps with their credit card -- HONEST!!

I struck it 'big' at a garage sale recently. One of the neat things I found was a can of 'well played with' American Toy Bricks. I used to have some of those bricks many years ago. I think I had the same size because there were never enough to make anything that was pictured on the can or the little pamphlet. I did well with this set on eBay.
