Been a long time since I've been able to go garage sailin on a Friday --well, guess I could have last Friday but I didn't. I was too lazy to get up. A couple Saturdays ago, the Lake Senca community held a community wide garage sale. I like the community garage sales. You can hit a lot of sales in a short time.
The thing I noticed about Lake Seneca was that it seemed like a lot of people were selling their Christmas decorations. Guess those people are tired of decorating for Christmas. At one sale, I noticed a probably 4 yr. old boy eating a bowl of cereal 'at Grandma's.' I asked Grandma how much for the boy. His eyes got REALLY big with a bit of a panic look. Grandma sort of played along for a bit. We haggled and I backed out because there was no instruction manual. Then the little guy took me around the garage and showed me everything for sale. Guess he thought I should buy something other than him.
Today's travels around Bryan were interesting. Just outside Bryan I noticed some animals in the road ahead. They got off the road when a car ahead of me passed them. Then they came back on the road. Unusual behavior. It was a group of at least three skunks and a dead one on the road. I didn't smell anything. Obviously one of them got hit crossing the road and its companions were checking it out.
I also saw a very overweight woman walking her three dachsunds. That was quite a site. Three hyper, energetic dogs leading her along. I wouldn't think a person like that would like so many or even one hyper dog.
My tom-tom gps was foolin with me this AM. I punched in the address of the next sale I was looking for. It was across town. There were shorter way, more direct ways to get to it. The gps had me turnin at almost every corner. Don't member seein a 'most turns' category on the screen.
I think I did ok. Picked up a couple REAL nice Rawlins baseball gloves for $6. I should get around $10 each next spring on eBay.
