It was drizzling when I got up this AM. It stopped, so I went to work. They decided to do some work on the rough mower. It has been overheating lately and got so bad, that I gave up and quit a couple hrs early yesterday. My system of idling till it cooled down stopped working after lunch. This AM they had me mow the driving range. It was like "drivin a big mower in heaven" even though it drizzled on and off while I was out there. The fairway mower has a cupholder and the driving range is smooth, unlike the rough. It don't get much better than that! Would you believe that the kid from the pro shop came out to set up the range while I was mowing --in the drizzle too. Just had to get the yardage signs and a couple flags set up before I was finished. Got it mowed, but some of the signs are crooked and one is turned completely backwards. The flags are laying on the ground and I accidentally on purpose knocked a bucket of balls over. Told my boss to tell 'em 'the old guy' is a bigger dumbass than the kid. This happens all the time. A higher up usually mows the range and doesn't hesitate to call the pro.
Since my mower is down for the day and it looks like on and off rain all day and it was still in the 50's at 9 AM, I got the rest of the day off. I'm thinkin it may be a good day to take the camera to the Butter-Fly House in Whitehouse a bit later. This is the place that did the Sarah Palin corn maze last fall and made the national news. Maybe I'll get that award winning magazine cover shot I been lookin for.
