I had a couple good ideas for photos today, but they fell through. This is today's very monchrome sunset shot from the parking lot at the local YMCA.
The city has at least 6 front end loaders. When they are clearing streets, the guys take their break at Lester's Diner. There is a large municipal parking lot next door. I thought a photo of them parked there would be a promising shot. Well, I was wrong for the first time today. I thought they took their break at 9AM. When I came around the corner at 9AM, everyone was leaving . . . 4 front end loaders and 4 dump trucks with blades. I saw another truck pushing snow on the way to Lester's.
This PM I decided to go to the garage and start up my wood lathe and make a couple pens. Haven't done that for quite a while. That didn't work out to well either. The thermocouple on my little propane heater didn't seem to be working, so it was pretty chilly out there. I've been re-arranging things out there this fall, adding shelves, moving benches, etc. Had a hard time finding what I needed to turn a pen, anyway. So I gave up and went to the Y. Gonna have to spend some time getting my wood turning tools & supplies together and organized fixin that thermocouple too.
