Storm Is On The Way Out . . .

The media people are very good making common everyday storms seem like the world is about to end. I will say that the Cleveland media is a lot worse than the Toledo and Ft. Wayne media. When I took photos late the PM, I measured 3-4" of snow. Maybe with enough off and on snow showers tonight, I might end up with the 6" of snow I was promised. I always feel "gyped" when the rain, snow and wind don't come close to predictions.

back

As promised yesterday, here is my backyard late this afternoon . . .

front

And here is what the front yard looked like.

Coming up with a new photo or two each day for the blog really makes one think. I have no ideas for tomorrow at the moment. I'm sure I'll dream up something.

Read an article in the newspaper about Kentucky Fried Chicken's new advertising concept. Seems that they gave money to two cities in Indiana for fire hydrants. The hydrants have the KFC logo on them. They have purchased new sewer grates for localities too. Of course the KFC logo is evident. Not exactly bus stop advertising, but . . .

Some of my 'cosmopolitan,' big city friends still can't figger out why I like slower, small town lifestyle. It just might be a tad too slow around here. The local hospital's first baby of 2010 didn't get around to being born till yesterday. That would be January 6, 2010.
