Not much sign of that 'Cabin Fever' feelin today that I started feelin yesterday. That is good. After moppin the kitchen floor and vacuuming the carpet, I decided to take a drive to see what I could shoot for today's blog post. Thought I'd better find something more interesting than a clean kitchen floor and vacuumed carpet to post. Don't want to lose the 2 or 3 readers that I have.
I headed south out of town on State Rt. 15. The Sonic Drive-In restaurant caught my eye. I haven't patronized them since they opened early last summer. I don't think they have an indoor dining area or even an indoor counter to place your order. I do know they have a drive through window. Or you can park, then place your order and someone brings your order to your car. In the summer they have people on roller blades bringing your order. I have no idea how many accidents they have in the parking lot. They probably have a roller blade test ya hafta pass before they hire ya. Anyway, I don't think the winters months are their peak season. Haven't noticed many cars in the lot this winter.
I knew when I took the photo I was going to have a lot of wires. I didn't think it would be as bad as it was. So I decided to see what kind of job I could do erasing them with my Microsoft Digital Image 9 editing program. It took a while but I was able to clean it up quite a bit. Not an A+ job though. Never tried to do so much with one photo before today. Also cropped & messed with the coloring too. I definitely need a lot more practice before I send my resume to National Geographic. I have other editing programs, but I use Digital Imaging most of the time.
While shooting Sonic's from across the street, I noticed something that one does not see very often.
When was the last time you saw -- or at least noticed -- a pay phone????
