Misc. Ramblins . . .

Don't ya just hate it when you buy cans of creamed corn instead of the regular corn????  And you never seem to notice your mistake till ya open the can . . . Yeah, you guessed it.  I did it again.  I eat my mistakes, but I haven't learned to like them . . .

If the neighbors were watchin the house yesterday AM . . . and yes I have one like that . . . He would have seen me make 4 trips to the mailbox in about an hour and a half.  I was actually beginnin to wear a path in the snow.  I took one eBay package to the box first thing in the AM.  When I returned to my computer, I had made another sale.  So I got it ready and took it to the mailbox.  While I was outside, I made another sale.  So I got it ready and made the third trip to the mailbox.  A while later my mail was delivered and I made my fourth trip of the day to my mailbox.

Ever wonder if the tv remote and cable tv would have caught on without each other?  Probably not, but I started wonderin about it the other day.  If the remote came before cable, would it really be worth lookin for it when you only have three or four channels?????  Hardly worth the bother . . . Cable tv has dozens of channels.  Without the remote how many people would want dozens of channels to get up and  change?????  Think about it . . . .  remotes and cable tv need each other . . . good thing both were invented about the same time . . .

Yesterday afternoon I decided to make the rounds of the three local thrift stores.  If you think all those little blue-haired ladies go to Florida during January, you are wrong.  They all come to the local thrift stores.  Haven't seen that many in three spots in a long time.  One store is run buy little blue-haired ladies.  There is usually 5 or 6 to "help" you through the check out line.  One lady takes your merchandise and hands it to another who bags it.  The next lady adds up the total of your purchase on an adding machine and hands the slip to the lady makin change.  The last lady hands you your purchase. Think about this the next time you are standin at the end of a long line at a grocery or big box type store.
