Misc. Meanderings . . .

My bubble wrap came yesterday and I got that set of Pyrex mixing bowls listed.  Took about an hour to get a bid.  That means they are sold and it is just a matter of how much.  I should get a decent amount.  It is a nice old set.  Still haven't spotted that unopened roll I think is around here somewhere.  

Last basketball games at Anderson Arena at BGSU are comin up in a few days.  The new arena is scheduled to open this fall.  I can remember watchin Nate Thurmond Thurmond and Howard Komives playin there on TV.  Nate was always blockin shots 10 rows deep and Howard put up shots and made them just past the mid court line.  When I got there in '67, Bill Fitch was coach there.  Walt Piatkowski and Al Dixon were the main guys.  Fitch was always screamin at Piatkowski.  Al was a rail thin 6'10".  When there was a high rebound in a crowd, a long, black,skinny arm would appear about 3' above the others at the last second and Dixon would have another rebound.  Fitch was only there that year and moved on to Minnesota, then to the Cavs and the Celtics.  Won the MAC that yr.  

Sent a set of cookie cutters to Bat Cave NC today.  Asked the lady if that is where Bat Man lives.  She had to know I was gonna ask.  Bat Cave ranks right up there with that Ms. Sidebottom from somewhere in Englands that bought some cookie cutters recently.  See some interesting names now and then.  

'Member Paris Hilton???  Don't hear much about her any more, do ya???  Maybe that's why I see where she has her own app for the iPhone and iTouch.  It's called 'Paris Hilton.'  The article says ya can get it for $2.99 at the iTunes App Store.  The Android and iPad versions will be available soon.  Even though I have an iPad, I'm gonna pass.  

Sat myself down yesterday and finished all my income tax forms.  I owed a few bucks, but not near as many as in previous yrs.  Glad that is done.  It's not hard to do, but I just don't like doin them . . . even when I'm pretty sure I'm gettin a decent refund. 

I sure hope the weather stays decent for a few days.  Maybe I'll get myself out and take some pics. without freezin my fingers solid.
