Catchin Up . . .

One of those sinus type colds found me Wednesday.  Wakin up this mornin, I thought it was gonna be a quick one.  I felt pretty good and didn't any eye waterin, nose burnin symptoms that always come free of charge.  I was fine till I went outside.  Must have been the cold air and the small amount of sunshine.  I have been sufferin ever since.  Don't think it is gonna pass as quick as I hoped.

Been a lot of really bad storms this week.  Earlier this week there was a tornado out break in the Branson MO area.  I have a friend from high school who lives there.  Sent him an email the following mornin.  He said he and his friends were fine, but downtown Branson had a lot of damage.  That evening while flippin through the channels, CNN was covering the Branson storm.  So I paused my channel flippin to see what they had to say.  Couldn't believe it, well, yes I can, the CNN correspondent.  He was tellin how he had flown to St. Louis and driven to Branson.  It seems that he was amazed at the miles and miles of open farmland and all the little towns he drove through.  He went on to say that if the tornado had gone only a half mile to the north or south, there would have little, if any, damage in Branson.  Well, DUH!!!!  Must have been his first time out of the big city . . . I'm thinkin there are more square miles of open land with small towns in this country than miles of urban areas.  There are paved roads around here with no utility poles beside them.  A couple summers ago, I found named grassy road.  We're still civilized enough around here to plant grass on our dirt roads.

I set up the dust collector hood holder upper and even used it a couple days ago.

With a bit of tweakin, it is gonna work fine.  I have a small hood that I use when turnin small stuff.

Bryan recently installed their first solar powered stop sign.  It has a red led light on each corner of the sign.  I like signs like that, especially on roads or streets that it just doesn't seem like there should be a stop sign there.  A nearby town has a couple of them.  A couple years ago, I blew through an intersection like that.  I was in the middle of it when I realized I was the one who was supposed to stop.

Believe it or not I shot 6 pics tryin to get one with the leds flashin on.  I had no luck tryin to time my pic with the led flash on cycle . . . and the cars behind me were startin to use their horns.  Probably a caravan of those little blue haired ladies in their big white cars lookin for someone to harass.

Camera I was usin doesn't have a mode that takes several frames with one press of the shutter button.
