Been Just Nothin . . .

Been just nothin to blog about lately . . . Unless I count that goofy lady and her garage sale yesterday.  She had about 10 Fire King Copper Tint vegetable serving dishes out.  They were perfect.  I was wondering why she had so many.  They were not marked, so I asked here what she wanted for them.  She said she had no idea.  They were antiques and she had not had them appraised.  She said she had more in the house.  Then she said to make her an offer.  I thought that was a strange answer to my question.  They are old, but I not particularly valuable.  So I offered a buck for a couple.  She seemed insulted.  I kept my mouth shut, but was wondering why you put stuff out with no price, try to make people believe they are extremely valuable and ask for an offer.

People like that make me want to dust off my brown dress shoes, put on my black knee socks, plaid bermuda shorts, white belt, suspenders, white v-neck t-shirt and my NASCAR ball cap and go to garage sales gettin in everyone's way on purpose.  And, of course, I would be angle parkin my truck in the middle of the street.

While near the topic of t-shirts, I read an article about them being 100 years old this year.  The US Navy began issuing them back in '13.  They even have a web site :  www.tshirtbirthday.com.

I broke open a new pack of Irish Spring soap this past week.  The bars are noticeably smaller than what they used to be.  Wonder if they are smaller to keep the price the same or add a free bar or two for the same price . . .

I needed a colored pencil the other day.  I was working with some walnut boards and regular pencil is next to impossible to see.  Searched the house and didn't find what I needed, so I bought the smallest, cheapest box I could find.  And, of course, I began seeing colored pencils at every other garage sale since.  One sale had two boxes.  I notice those things because I'm always on the lookout for crayons.  I help keep the pre-school/daycare kids at the local Y supplied with crayons.

Yesterday, was Simon's annual check up.  Nothing wrong with him.  He weighs in at 12 lbs., 9 oz.  The vet saaid his weight is fine for as long as he is.  He's not a bit fat.

And that is all the nothin I have right now to blog about . . .
