Been a pretty eventful week around here . . . for a change . . .
There has been a lot of water moving through the storm sewer catch basin in front of my house for at least a month. Tuesday, I finally remembered to call it in during business hours. Within the hour someone was out to check it out. A couple hours later he was back with a leak tester, which is a lot like a metal detector. Wednesday, a crew was out to mark locations of the utilities. Everything is underground on my street. Yesterday, this crew ended up digging two holes to repair the leak. The gas company was on the scene for a while also. Don't know what the gas problem was. All this took place a couple houses up the street. A similar leak happened a couple houses up the street last summer. Don't know how an underground leak makes it to the storm sewer instead of bubblin to the surface.
There was another case of "Yarn Bombin" in Bryan this week too. I've blogged about other bombings. The last incident was during April of this year. Read about them HERE.
Over the Labor Day weekend this boat was found parked on the town square.
The yarn bombers even did the interior. The suspects say they use old afghans they find in the thrift stores and knit them together. I'm thinkin there are a few women around town with waaaaay too much time on their hands . . .
