(Long Drawn Out Sigh) . . .
It is only 10 AM and I'm thinkin I should call it a day . . . It was another one of those foggy mornings. The sun was shining brightly through the fog. Being autumn, the sun is very low in the sky, which means it was shining in my eyes, even when I was going west. There were six garage sales advertised. There was one that even my gps could not find. I drove around the general area where I thought it should have been and there were no garage sale signs. I recognized the address of another. They have been having sales every couple weeks trying to sell what didn't sell at the last one. I skipped that one. Another was advertised with an 8:30 opening. I wasn't the only one waiting for it to open. As of 9:30, it wasn't open. Another had a great ad. It lead me to believe that there would be some good stuff . . . Wrong. I think most of the little blue haired ladies with their huge purses and big white or silver cars were out and about, going out of their way to get in my way. There was one lady that was so big that she clogged up the aisle even when she stood sideways. Foot traffic was backed up five or six people. Don't know if those little blue haired ladies with their huge purses and big white or silver cars had anything to do with the fact that only a couple of the traffic lights were green when I got to the intersections. Then on top of all this . . . I put a buck into an instant lottery machine at the local supermarket. My ticket won me $2. I consider that a BIG winner. I also noticed that the ticket came out of the machine misaligned and the bottom was cut off. The lady could not redeem it because the info she needed was cut off. It was attached to the previous ticket that came out of the machine. She offered me my dollar back, which I accepted, so I guess I broke even. It seems to be another day in which I could get more done by doing nothing.
