Hot ! ! !

                        

                                                                                                                                            This pretty much says it all.  Ninety -six yesterday, ninety eight today, and who knows how hot tomorrow, maybe a 100.

I worked till lunch yesterday.  The boss said I could go home or start touchin up the rough.  I went home, mainly cause I left my lunch at home.  I seem to manage to do that once a summer.  The clubhouse isn't open on Mondays.  

The National Weather Service put out an excessive heat warning from noon today to 8 PM Saturday.  I can't recall one of these goin for 4 days straight.  So I got up a bit earlier than usual and got started shortly after 6 AM.

My assignment was to find greenish spots that needed mowed and mow them.  As you can see in the cloudy, early mornin light, there isn't much green in the rough any more.  I didn't think there would be a full day of mowin, but I wasn't real sure.  I ended up about a half hour shy of a full day.  Tomorrow, I hafta go in and mow greens and will be done for the day.  When two of us mow greens, it takes about an hour and a half each.  I suspect that is what I will be doin the rest of the week.  

 

Gas dropped all the way to $3.15 this week.  Yesterday, I filled my lawnmower gas can.  I honestly can not remember when I mowed my yard.  Probably toward the end of May.  I'm wonderin if I'll be usin any of that gas any time soon.
