'09 National Thresher's Reunion, Wauseon OH

I made it to the annual Thresher's Reunion at Wauseon this year. I just didn't go at the best time to get the photos I wanted. The parade past the grandstand was beginning when I got there. Should have come a couple hours earlier. Oh, well, there is always next year.

This steam tractor was voted 'Best of Show.' Restoration was completed about a week before the show. It was originally owned by the present owner's grandfather. He was sold it. A few yrs. later the grandfather attempted to buy it back, but the deal fell through. The present owner, the grandson found it abandoned a few yrs. ago. He bought it and restored it.

This was the heaviest steam tractor at the show. I don't recall what the weight was.

Take a look at the 'transmission' on this medium sized steam tractor.

I didn't see this little guy at this year's show. It was there a couple yrs. ago. Hook a trailer to it and you have a 'steam gator."

There are farm machines of all kinds and from all eras at this show. This was identified as a 1990 Doodlebug.

A Ford 'Red Belly" on tracks.

This 'fuel truck' made a delivery while I was there. This was as big as a highway dump truck you will see around here. I spotted a little girl who was totally enthralled with the truck. I really wanted to take a photo of her, but I wasn't sure how her dad was going to feel about it, so I didn't.

I need one of these to drive around to keep in shape when the 'rough mowin' season is over.
