Haven't taken my camera with me on the mower this week. Yesterday, rain was heavily predicted, so I left it in the truck. Today I had no good reason not to take it with me. And, of course, I missed several photo opportunities.
The first was a group of 4 deer, all different sizes. They watched me come toward them. I stopped and wondered why I left the camera in the truck. I was mildly surprised that I was able to get as close as I did. I think I could have gotten a very good picture if I had my good camera. It has a big telescopic lens. Anyway we stared at each other for a while and this time I decided I needed to get on with my life.
About a half hour later the sun was making an appearance, sort of a delayed sunrise. Another missed opportunity. Later in the PM, the Goodyear blimp was headed east. It went almost directly over the golf course. By now you should know what I'm about to say, so I won't.
I thought the course had a lot of water for having only about 1-1/4" of rain in the gauge. That means that next week the grass will be coming to me to be cut. This week I'm cruising around looking for grass to cut. No summer layoff for me this year.
Since I mentioned I had other hibiscuses in a previous post, I thought you should see what they look like.
