Another Foggy One. . .

It was another foggy morning.

Would you believe that they expected me to enter that cloud and start mowin? I did and I found grass to mow. A lot of today's grass and just about all of tomorrow's grass has not been mowed for two weeks. I lost most of Wed, Thurs & Fri of last week due to 3-4 inches of rain. Mower problems didn't help either.

Today's fog was very photogenic. Saw 'shafts' of rainbows in it. One shaft was reflected off a window of a near by house. Had to decide if I was there to mow or take photos. Could have taken some really neat and unique ones for 15-20 minutes. Don't think anyone would have cared, but I don't like to push my luck.

For whatever reason I haven't seen any spider webs this year. Below is one I spotted this AM. I think I could have taken some really good ones with time and my good camera. I need to force myself out of bed some dewy, sunny early AM and get some good ones.

Monday and Tuesday of this week I noticed this bird. I think it is a Great Egret. Not a great shot, but I didn't want to scare him off. This is the first time I have seen this bird around here. Some of the other guys say they see him just about every year. Probably on his way south for the winter.

Going to be another short evening for me. The loaner I'm driving mows faster, which means I'm getting bounced around faster and harder. Feelin so beat up that I skipped my 'Y' workout. I think they are very interested in buying it if they can squeeze the money out of the budget. I know I'm all for it. Temperature gauge doesn't move, it mows a bit faster and has more power than the other one. Engine hardly changes pitch on the steep parts of the hills.
