Today's Photo -- Birds on the Wires

birds on wires

I read somewhere that birds congregate on the electric lines because the tingling effect they feel helps keep them warm. The wires in front of the local Town & Country hardware store is a popular gathering spot. There were many, many more birds there when I shot this photo. It was the widest angle I could get.

Reindeer Sighting

Saw an article in yesterday's local newspaper about reindeer. It seems there are two female (they have the antlers) permantly residing in Williams County. The name of the people seemed familiar. Then it finally . . . sometimes I'm not real quick about these things . . . occurred to me that these are the people who own the horse farm next to the golf course. I've never seen the reindeer or many horses because the pastures & barn aren't anywhere close to the golf course property. I gotta figger out a way to take my camera over there and get some shots . . . probably as easy as aking the boss to take me over there. They are members of the country club, some of the guys fish and hunt on their property and we lend and borrow equipment back and forth all the time. Don't think it will be a problem.
