The Spangler Candy Co. has been in Bryan just over 100 years. Dum Dum suckers are probably their best known product. You may not have known that Spangler's is one of the largest candy cane producers in the US. They make them here in Bryan and they have a plant in Mexico. Soooo, if you had a candy cane this year, and you probably did, there is a very good chance it was made about three miles from where I live.
