Today's Photo -- My Famous Grape Salad

grape salad

This 'Operation 365' blog thing isn't easy. An Operation 365 is posting a photo that was taken the same day for 365 consecutive days. They say most bloggers don't get past 30 days or so. This is my 11th day and I'm really sweating it. But then I advertise a lot of ramblin about nothin. . .maybe my standards are too high. . .

Today's photo is the grape salad I just made. I think it is the reason I get invited anywhere. When I do get invited somewhere they tell me I have to bring the grape salad. Goin to Cousin Tammy's house tomorrow with my grape salad. I used my Fire King 2 qt. clear casserole this time. It has a lid, but you don't see many photos of food with lids on the containers. I picked up this casserole at a recent auction. Tammy . . . or is it Tami . . . I'll find out when or if she reads this . . . sometimes she has a difficult time understanding that I buy these things to sell on eBay and usually make a few bucks doing it. This one is pretty decent. No chips, nicks or scrapes . . . just some interior utensil marks . . . not much shelf wear on the bottom. I think I'm gonna list the casserole I had been using soon. It is a Pyrex, but the design isn't very common. I bought it at a garage sale. When I got home with it, I discovered that it wasn't what I thought it was. It was a bright, sunny day. I was wearing my sunglasses. The house was heavily shaded by trees. The actual garage was part of the basement of the house, the house being built on a small hillside. The sunglasses and shade made the garage very dark. So you may want to learn from my mistake and leave your sunglasses in the car when garage salin in dark garages.
