Sunday was a humid, windy 80+ degree day. Got a bit over a quarter inch of rain Sunday night. Yesterday morning everything was green and all my daffodils around the house were bloomin. Nothing bloomin on the back '40 yet.
I even got a decent semi closeup of some of my daffodils yesterday morning while the wind was blowing very strongly. Hope to get to Goll's Woods in another day or two and see what is bloomin there. The spring wild flowers there are tremendous!
I saw a couple of the mowing companies doin their thing yesterday and today. I wonder if they had planned to staart mowin yesterday or came to work and decided to mow. I may be getting my mower out this weekend.
I've noticed a lot of roofing going on this week . . . residential, commercial and apartments. Another house on my street is getting a new roof this week. Myself and a neighbor got a new roof last fall. My house is one of the oldest on the street, 12 yrs). Builders tend to use the cheapest shingles they can find, unless something different is specified in the contract. The fact that my attic was vented incorrectly helped the "cooking" process too. Ishould be in good shape for the next 25-30 years, roof-wise.
