I wonder what the thrift stores do with the stuff they can't sell . . . Donate it to other stores??????
I recently noticed that I don't have my house number on my mailbox. I wonder if it illegal not to have the numbers on my mailbox . . . If you've rang my doorbell recently and I didn't answer it, its because I've been expecting and hoping to avoid the postal police.
I picked up numbers this AM at the hardware, but, as you can see, it has been rainin all morning. Gonna wait till things dry off a bit before gettin them on the mail box.
Ever notice that when people ask someone what time it is, they point to their wrist?? But when someone asks where the restrooms are they don't point at their crotch . . . I didn't come up with that one on my own, I read it the joke page of a magazine, but I've been wonderin about it ever since . . .
Saw a very old ball glove at Goodwill this week. It was a JC Penney glove . . . Wonder how many people remember when Penney's sold sporting gloves . . . Used to have JC Penney car insurance many years ago . . . Wonder if they still sell car insurance . . .
Saw a guy come out of Goodwill recently with a bowling ball. Several bowling balls have been there all winter. Wonder if he is goin to bowl with it or use it for something else . . .
Saw an elderly lady cleanin up her front yard yesterday. She had her Sears 5 gallon electric vac on the old Radio Flyer wagon with a long extension cord sucking up stuff off the lawn. I just wondered about that one . . . . . . . .
I wonder why people buy stuff on eBay and don't pay. My latest 'no-pay' is from Croatia. They bought that blue Detroit Tiger glove. I wonder if baseball is played in Croatia. Two invoices and an email later, I'm still waiting for a reply. Tomorrow I can cancel the sale and get my fees refunded and relist it.
