Yep, that's right, I was mugged by Mother Nature this past week. Still feeling the effects. Tuesday and Wednesday were very hot and humid. The air temperature was in the mid-90's. The temperature around my mower seat was probably 20 degrees warmer. I sit in front of the diesel engine. There was a breeze once in a while Tuesday, and a very hot wind Wednesday, but I'm not sure if it helped me much. I went home broiled well done both days. Thursday, I wore a long sleeve shirt and my rain jacket to keep warm. Have no idea where that extra 20 degrees went . . . Yesterday, I wore the long sleeve shirt, a sweatshirt and my rain suit to keep warm. Each day since Tuesday, I've felt worse -- sorish throat, tired and achy. Today I have a cough, congestion and not much of a voice. Haven't had a sore throat or any type of cold for a couple years, maybe longer. Don't get this type of thing much since I put the chalk away . . . So I'm blamin it on Mother Nature . . .
Stopped for a newspaper yesterday. The price of fuel had dropped from 3.78 to 3.58. Today the prices have dropped another penny. Interesting . . . the price of sweet crude hasn't dropped any, if at all the last few days. Maybe that Chicago area refinery is back on line.
