This was as about as a dark, cloudy, blah day as they get. A good example of a double blah day!! I'm sure the weather had a lot to do with my state of extreme boredom. Could've been a good day to read magazines at the local library, but it isn't open on Sunday afternoons. I couldn't even decide what to eat for lunch or to forget about eatin anything till I could think of something to eat. Around 1:30, I decided to go to Arby's for a salad. Why I picked Arby's, I don't know. I really don't care for their salads that much. Afterwards I must have sat in my truck a good five minutes or so, wonderin what to do next. Should I go home and wonder what to do next or should I go somewhere. I sort of decided to go somewhere, but I couldn't come up with anywhere that was better than sittin in Arby's parkin lot. After ponderin about goin north, east, then west, I decided on goin south. I got as far as Sherwood and decided that this was stupid. So I went east a couple miles and turned north toward home.
I was on The Bend Rd when I noticed these abandoned steps on Buckskin Rd. I turned around and went back for a closer inspection. Two sets of steps really close to the roadway. Remains of a church building?? An old store?? An old inn?? There are quite a few 'ghost towns' around in the area. I wonder if this was one of them. I'll hafta go to the library tomorrow and check out that book on NW Ohio ghost towns. Read it several years ago . . . I thought is was very interesting. And I really did brighten and tone down the contrast in this pic. It really was a very dark and dreary day.
