Gettin Back To Normal . . . Sort Of . . . Maybe . . .

Been a frustrating week.  I've been havin problems with downloading and up dating on my PC.  Windows said the problem was not having my Windows Firewall turned on.  The problem I was havin was the fact that I could not turn my Windows Firewall on.  Monday and half of Tuesday, I tried every fix I could find on the internet that did not work.  I learned a lot about Windows 8.  Since then I have forgotten all that I have learned about Windows 8.  Anyway, early Tuesday afternoon, I 'bit the bullet' and re-installed Windows 8.  Don't like to do that cause you lose all your data when you do that.  I back up with Carbonite, so I knew it wouldn't be too bad.  I started restoring data late Tuesday afternoon.

Around 3:30 Friday afternoon, I finally got the screen I was waitin for!  I had a bit over 23 GB of data to restore.  I was able to use my computer while all this was goin on, but it was slow.   I had programs to re-load and drivers to download.  I finally gave up tryin to do anything beyond what I had to use while all this was goin on.  I sell on eBay and ETSY and sales have been frequent lately.  Not a great time to re-install Windows, but things were deteriorating steadily.  Since getting my data back I have been steadily getting things back to the way I use them.  I'm just not tryin to do it at 'one sitting.'

I'm not sure if it was Wednesday or Thursday that I decided to get away from the computer and out of the house.  I topped of the tank and headed north, not knowing where I was headed and when I was gonna turn around.  It was a pretty dark and drizzly day, so I didn't really get any photos.  I did turn around when I spotted this house in Hudson MI.  I think it is pretty cool lookin . . . and there is a 'For Sale' sign in the yard.  I'd hate to hafta pay the utility bills . . . and there is all that 'gingerbread' trim that needs painting or replaced with viny . . . but I still think it is a neat lookin house.
