I heard a helicopter early this mornin. That isn't unusual. I live about a mile from the county airport. There is a helicopter that spends a lot of time there. Sometimes I hear the medical helicopter from Toledo when it pays a visit to the local hospital. That helicopter usually passes to the north of where l live. A couple times it has flown low over my house goin directly to the tire plant. Later this mornin, while motorin about, burnin fossil fuel, I saw this HUGE helicopter hovering over the local Johnston Controls plant.
I drove over to the plant for a closer look. I took a couple shots of it hovering above the plant. It was in the process of landing in the parking lot. It had apparently finished its lift.
Last time a copter of this size visited Bryan was a couple years ago, when it was lifting air conditioning units to the roof of the new addition of the Titan Tire Co.
In spite of the slow economy, there has been a fair amount of construction in town during the last few years. There was the hospital remodel/additions, Titan Tire, that company on E. High that I can't think of the name and now the new police/fire dept bldg.
