I was drivin through one of the nearby small towns this mornin and saw this scene. I drove around the block and took a picture. Guess the 'Occupy' movement is findin its way to some of the small towns. Why only one person, you ask . . . Well it is a small town . . . This is the best they could do.
Haven't had much to blog about lately, but I will do my best to bring any readers up to date.
Been tryin to eat the Cheerio type cereal lately. Unless I'm missin somethin, that type of cereal isn't easy to eat without makin a mess. If you spill any, those little doughnut shaped things bounce and roll all over the place. Pourin milk into the bowl isn't easy either. Those little doughnut shaped things float. If ya pour very much milk, they float right out of your bowl, bounce and roll all over the place. If ya put the cereal into a bowl of milk, I have the same problem. Gotta be real careful gettin the first few spoonfuls out of my bowl, too. Again, those little doughnut shaped things go bouncin and rollin all over the place. I'm open to suggestions other than the obvious . . . eat flat flaked cereal.
You may or may not know that my favorite game of chance is crude oil/gas pump prices. Earlier this week, crude oil jumped a couple bucks over a hundred bucks. I figgered gas pump prices were gonna take a big jump up too. They had been holdin steady even though crude oil had been creepin through the 90's. So I made it a point to top off my tank. Only took 3.1 gallons to bring it to the top. Then I went home with a big, disgustin, smug smile all over my face. The next day, I discovered that in spite of the rise in crude oil, the gas pump price around here dropped from 3.31 to 3.23 per gallon. That top off cost me a quarter!!! I don't usually lose money like that. When I do it is usually cause I wait too long to top off when I know crude is goin up. The price has remained even though crude has dropped to the $96-$97 range. Big oil got me this time, but there is always 'tomorrow.'
Put a set of new tires on my truck a couple weeks ago. Had the rotors turned too. What a difference !! I was gonna wait till spring for the tires . . . I really don't hafta go anywhere when there is ice and snow on the roads, but there a hundred buck rebate on the tires now. So, I figger I'm $99.75 ahead.
Saw this jr high age kid dribblin two basketballs at once at the Y yesterday. He was walkin and at time a fast walkin the length of the court without missin a dribble. not the easiest thing to do, but with practice it can be done. Then I noticed that he was alternating dribbles tween his legs and the other ball to his other hand in front of him while walkin the length of the court. Don't think that is the easiest thing to do. He's gonna be a heck of a ball handler if he keeps with it. Not a bad shooter for a jr high age kid. A few yrs ago I saw this little kid tryin to dribble a basketball tween his legs. The problem he was havin that day, is that there wasn't much clearance unless the dribble was near perfect. He was that short. Wonder if it was the same kid???
I'm always lookin for interestin and excitin things to blog about. As soon as I come across more stuff, you'll one of the first to know . . .
